Bondi cop out of his coma and recovering

A POLICE officer injured in the Bondi massacre had surgery almost every day before he came out of a coma, his family said.

New South Wales PC Scott Dyson, 25, was one of two officers wounded when Naveed Akram, 24, and his father Sajid, 50, allegedly opened fire on more than 1,000 people at a Jewish festival at Archer Park, Sydney, Australia.

The horrifying terror attack killed 15 people and injured dozens more.

Scott's family said he was placed in an induced coma due to his injuries.
