DEMI Moore has a chance to win her first Oscar but British actress Cynthia Erivo could swoop in on her broomstick and snatch it away.

Demi, 62, was nominated for turning stomachs in creepy The Substance, while Wicked witch Cynthia, 38, was also named in the best actress category.

Stunned Demi won her first major gong a Best Female Actor Golden Globe this month for her performance in the body-swap horror, while her Oscars rival has previously had Academy Award nods for Harriet.

Musical thriller Emilia Perez dominated the list of nominations revealed yesterday, with 13 in total.
