Grieving families welcome inquiry into Nottingham attack
A JUDGE-led public inquiry into the Nottingham attacks will begin within weeks, Keir Starmer has promised grieving families.
Relatives welcomed the news at an emotional meeting in Downing Street.
The families have been fighting for answers about how paranoid schizophrenic Valdo Calocane was free to kill students Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, both 19, and school caretaker Ian Coates, 65, in June 2023.
The rampage came after a string of errors by mental health teams.
Mr Starmer told the families: "I gave you my word we would push for a judge-led inquiry. I want to make sure you are at the heart of this."
