Rasheed Nehyan shone with a fine knock of 88 on the first day for Wesley against Kingswood in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Campbell Park.
His knock laid the foudation for Wesley taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 301 for 8 declared and Kingswood in their turn ended the day on 59 for 2.
St Benedict's and Zahira were on top against S. Thomas' and Moratu MV at the end of the first day's play in the matches played at Kotahena and Moratuwa. The matches will be continued today.
