Sri Lanka will be represented by three athletes at the 20th edition of the World Athletics Championship scheduled to take place from September 13 to 21 at the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Nadeesha Ramanayake will compete in the women’s 400m first-round heats on September 14 while Rumesh Tharanga and Sumedha Ranasinghe will participate in the men’s javelin throw qualifying round on September 17.
