'Zombie' addicts and prostitutes have left us living in a war zone

TERRIFIED residents living on a "war zone" estate say drug dealers and prostitutes have invaded their community, making them feel like they are "living in a prison".

The Little Ilford estate, in Newham, East London, is home to pensioners and families with young children.

But residents say the area has deteriorated dramatically in recent years, with used needles, human excrement, blood-stained rags and used condoms now a common sight.

They claim drug users who behave like "zombies" can be found around the tower blocks.

Calvin Terry, 69, who has lived on the estate for around 30 years, said: "We've had enough. This is our home.
