Young gun Rigg given lesson from Rayo

SUNDERLAND starlet Chris Rigg turned 18 in June but he will not have fond memories of his first Black Cats’ outing since coming of age.

Having recovered from an ankle injury on England Under-19 duty, he was desperate to make up for lost time.

But in trying a fancy piece of footwork on the edge of his own box, Rigg lost possession allowing Jorge De Frutos to fire Rayo into a 20th-minute lead as they cruised to victory.
