Kate speaks openly about her 'rollercoaster' cancer journey

THE Princess of Wales has opened up about her rollercoaster cancer journey, admitting her struggles continued even after treatment ended as she found it difficult to come to terms with her “new normal”.

Kate, 43, told of her “life-changing” experiences with the disease as she said her difficulties were not over when she revealed in January that her illness was in remission.

The mum of three said: “You have to find your new normal and that takes time...and it’s a rollercoaster, it’s not one smooth plane, which you expect it to be.

“But the reality is it’s not, you go through hard times.”

The princess, a passionate advocate for the benefits of spending time in nature, spoke as she toured a wellbeing garden at Colchester Hospital in Essex yesterday.
