Vine: Barton's paedophile jibes tore me down

JEREMY Vine told a jury he felt “wickedly torn down for no reason” when ex-footballer Joey Barton accused him of being a paedophile.

The TV and radio presenter said he stepped in to help football commentators Lucy Ward and Eni Aluko after Barton called them the “Fred and Rose West of commentary” and posted an image with the women's faces superimposed on a photo of the serial killers.
