Victory for actresses who sued royal college over sexual assaults

A ROYAL drama school is facing a £370,000 bill after a judge ruled it failed to protect two students who complained of sex assaults.

Americans Alyse McCamish and Sydney Feder claim they were targeted by the same male student. But the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama treated their complaints "appallingly".

Yesterday, a judge at Central London County Court ruled that Cardiff college, of which King Charles is a former president and past students include Sir Anthony Hopkins and Rob Brydon, had breached its duty towards the students.

Stripped 

Recorder John Halford awarded Ms McCamish £14,760 compensation and Ms Feder £5,271 for the "psychiatric injury" the women, both 26, suffered. The college must also foot legal bills estimated at least £350,000.
