Trump sues BBC for $10bn

THE BBC has vowed to defend itself after Donald Trump sued the corporation for $10billion.

The US president is seeking equivalent to £7.5billion damages, alleging that the broadcaster defamed him and violated Florida’s deceptive and unfair trade practices act.

Mr Trump alleged in the complaint filed on Monday the BBC “intentionally, maliciously and deceptively” edited the January 6, 2021, speech he gave before US Capitol attack.
