Title rivals draw a blank at Turf bore

The Premier League has little to fear based on this evidence if both sides win promotion.

- DAVID ANDERSON

This was billed as a summit meeting as leaders Leeds faced third-placed Burnley at Turf Moor, but instead it turned into a snooze fest.

Dan James managed the only shot on target for Leeds two minutes from time, while Illan Meslier was a virtual spectator in the Whites goal.

Leeds did increase their lead at the top to two points, while Burnley, who extended their unbeaten run to 17 games in all competitions, closed to within a point of Sheffield United – but that was about it.

The game reflected the growing financial chasm between the fat cats in the Premier League and the have-nots in the Championship.
