The furore comes ahead of the start of Labour’s family farm tax with its 20% inheritance levy on agricultural property above a £1million threshold which is being opposed by the Express crusade Save Britain’s Family Farms.

I've faced a barrage of Labour supporters about this kind of thing, with memes created under the Red Tractor logo saying ‘Pay your taxes’. She should be sacked. It’s nota level playing field.”

He added: “She needs to take it on the chin and go.”
