Cleaner, 71, left dangling 7ft above high street as she's snared by shutters

WHEN times are hard we can always do with a lift...but not like this.

Anne Hughes was hoisted seven feet into the air when her coat got caught up in a shop's electric shutters while waiting for the store to open.

The grandmother, 71, was left dangling upside down in mid air - and still clung to her trolley. Luckily, staff rushed to help her outside the Best One in Tonteg, South Wales.

Anne was cradled in the shopkeeper's arms and brought back to ground as another worker slowly lowered the shutter.
