Strike-hit bin boss off for new life in Oz
Daily Express
|July 15, 2025
THE official in charge of Birmingham’s bins has left the job and moved to Australia as rubbish keeps piling up in Britain’s second city following six months of strikes.
Craig Cooper announced on LinkedIn that he is to start work over 10,000 miles away in Brisbane.
His new role has not been officially announced but he appeared to suggest he will help bring the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games to the Queensland capital, although he later denied that was the case.
