'Stop creating trouble'... spy row China has cheek to tell UK

CHINA has told the UK to "stop creating trouble" as it accused MPs of political manipulation.

A statement criticising "anti-China clamours made by a handful of UK MPS" said they were trying to smear the country and undermine "normal exchanges" between the two.

It comes as the Government faces renewed pressure to designate China a threat to national security, following the naming of an alleged spy with close links to the Duke of York.

The Beijing statement added: "We always believe that a sound and stable China-UK relationship is not a onesided favour but what meets the common interests of both sides.
