STEELY OLLIE IS SOLDERING ON FOR TITLE

OLLIE CHESSUM spent lockdown working as a welder - but now he is helping put together an England team capable of ending their Six Nations drought.

The lock, who made his debut in 2022, has never won the title. You have to go back to 2020 for the last time England lifted the trophy and all the way back to 2016 for their last Grand Slam.

Chessum (above) was part of the side, under Steve Borthwick (below), who finished second last year, losing out to France by a point, despite a last day 68-14 hammering of Wales.

In 2024 England finished third, in 2023 they were fourth and in Chessum’s first season as a Test player, under Eddie Jones, they were third again.
