DOMINIC SOLANKE admits his time out injured has been difficult, although the Tottenham striker believes the squad can achieve “big things” when he returns.

- BY SAM TRUELOVE

Signed from Bournemouth in a club-record £65 million deal in August 2024, Solanke has endured a frustrating start to this season under new head coach Thomas Frank (below).

An ankle injury has limited the 28-year-old to just three appearances for Spurs this term, with his most recent coming in the 2-0 win against Manchester City on August 23.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea frontman’s preseason was disrupted by the injury and he ended up having minor surgery to try to rectify the issue at the end of September.

Now nearing a return, Solanke has explained just how frustrating the past three months have been.

“It's been very difficult,” he said.
