So very cruel...conmen peddling fake cures to the desperately ill

FAKE healers are conning gravely ill cancer patients into paying up to £3,000 with bogus "cures", a Daily Express investigation has revealed.

The scammers are exploiting the vulnerable at their lowest point offering expensive treatments on popular social media sites.

During our six-month probe we contacted a string of self-proclaimed "healers" who claim to be able to treat serious illness through prayer.

The investigation was sparked by Express reporter Robert Fisk, 44, who was diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer that spread to his liver and bladder last year.

He felt compelled to dig deeper when a person handing out flyers for a spiritual healer claimed their "master" could cure his disease.

In a bid to give a voice to others in similar situations, Robert worked with our investigations team between chemotherapy sessions.

One bogus healer who markets himself on social media as a "black magic removal specialist" is Pandith Ramdev.
