Shopping centre sells for less than the price of a flat

A SHOPPING centre has been sold off for less than the price of a London flat in another blow to the high street.
It went for £615,000, almost £400,000 below its guide price, weeks after going into receivership.
The Kingsway Centre in Newport, Gwent, is home to household names such as Starbucks and Sainsbury's.
But Dave Sayce, a Cardiff-based property expert and owner of Compare My Move, said: "The sale of the Kingsway is a sign of the times.
"The high street has been slowly depleting for years now and has really struggled to compete with the ease and variety of online shopping."
