THOUSANDS of protected gulls are making a stinking mess of a town after flocking back there from two offshore “hotels” where they have been encouraged to breed.
Residents and shopkeepers are fighting a losing battle, scrubbing the droppings off buildings and pavements amid the onslaught of kittiwakes in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
