Regulator's lost its way - says boss

THE Care Quality Commission has "lost its way" and inspections are years behind, its newly arrived chief executive said.
Sir Julian Hartley said an IT system introduced by the regulator was "a complete failure" and he promised a review. He also told MPs staff say the system is preventing them from doing their jobs.
