ROLLS-ROYCE said it expects its full-year profit to soar 26% higher than the last financial year thanks to a hefty boost from its civil aerospace and defence arms.

Rolls-Royce is flying high
The Derby-headquartered FTSE 100 giant is eyeing an operating profit of £3.1billion to £3.2bn after upgrading its earlier guidance of £2.7bn to £2.9bn.
This would mark a major jump from the £2.5bn scored in the 2024 financial year.
The London-listed firm has benefited from tailwinds in the recovery of global air travel bolstering its civil aerospace division, whilst heightened geopolitical tensions have hiked defence spending globally.
Large engine flying hours in the 10 months to the end of October grew 8% year-on-year.
