CATCHING up with friends and family this Christmas will be extra special for one grandad now his landline is functioning again.
Earlier this year, Andy Simons, recently retired, was looking to reduce his monthly bill with Sky which provides his broadband, TV and mobile services he had been a loyal customer for 17 years. Sky advised him having a full-fibre connection installed would help reduce his monthly £131 outlay.
An engineer from network operator Openreach “ran a cable to my house and plugged my landline into a router”, said Andy, confident all was OK.
