Payout for receptionist whose sexist boss called her 'blondie'

A SEXIST vet was ordered to compensate his ex-receptionist for calling her "blondie" and giving unwanted hugs.

Amanda Tubby said she was humiliated by "nightmare" boss Mike Malone who lived in the flat above her work.

An employment tribunal heard the 6ft-plus vet called 4ft 11in Ms Tubby "little one", in a way he would never have spoken to a man.

The hearing was told he appeared in the practice when not working, sometimes drunk, and made inappropriate charged comments.

Ms Tubby, 51, put up with it for years but quit when a client called her a vile name and Mr Malone said: "Well you are one, sexually aren't you?". She sued Mr Malone, 64, and his Hills Park Veterinary Group at the employment hearing in east London.
