BROADCHURCH creator Chris Chibnall says Pauline Quirke read for her part in the popular ITV crime drama - just like a jobbing actor.
And he admits feeling guilty it was only a cameo, as he had been a big fan since seeing BBC series The Sculptress, for which she was nominated for Bafta's best actress.
Chris, 55, says: "She came in and read for it. She was so brilliant and we had the conversation that this was not a big part.
