My four-year-old male Siamese cat has taken a liking to raw liver. I started feeding him small amounts as a treat but he seems to now prefer it to his ordinary food. But could this possibly be bad for him?

Raw liver is potentially very bad for him for several reasons, and I recommend you stop feeding it. Cats can sometimes become fixated on a particular food, refusing to eat anything else, making a dietary change difficult.

This is not generally a major problem, unless they become fixated on a food that is not nutritionally balanced, leading to deficiencies in essential nutrients. This can sometimes occur with home-cooked diets.
