Palace 'quietly celebrating' book setting record straight over naming of baby Lilibet

PALACE courtiers are said to be "relieved" and "quietly celebrating' after the record appears to have been set straight over the naming of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's daughter Lilibet.

A biography of the King is claiming to lift the lid on a series of scandals and infighting at the heart of the Royal Family.

A member of staff is said to have told author Robert Hardman the late Queen Elizabeth was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" after Harry and Meghan announced they had chosen the monarch's childhood nickname for their daughter with her blessing in June 2021.

The BBC and other media outlets later reported from Palace sources that the Queen was not asked by the couple if they could use Lilibet.
