'Prolific voyeur' who used hidden cameras gets three years

- By Ciaran McGrath

A CELEBRITY osteopath once trusted by high-profile clients including Express columnist Lesley Ann-Jones has been jailed for more than three years after secretly filming thousands of women.

Torben Hersborg was described as “one of London’s most prolific voyeurs” as he was sentenced over eight counts of voyeurism at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The Dane, 64, covertly recorded around 2,000 women over more than 12 years. His offences took place in multiple settings — including his osteopathy clinic in Islington, as well as public spaces such as beaches, footpaths, Tube stations and outside women’s homes.

The Crown Prosecution Service said most of the victims remain unidentified, and many of the images captured women in deeply intimate or vulnerable situations.

Hersborg, understood to be a friend of Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, treated tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and actress Anna Friel. He was arrested after a tip-off about suspicious behaviour in December last year.

Police found him parked outside student accommodation in Islington, sitting in the back seat of his Lexus, wearing black gloves and surrounded by black plastic bags. A telescope and video camera were in the vehicle.

Intimate

Following his arrest, detectives uncovered thousands of illicit images and videos on his electronic devices including clips of women undressing and two recordings of women engaged in sexual activity.
