Ofcom probe into suicide forum linked to 50 deaths

AN internet suicide forum is being investigated by Ofcom, in the first probe of its kind under the Online Safety Act.

The site, which is not being named, has been linked to at least 50 UK deaths, according to the BBC.

It is reported to have tens of thousands of members, who discuss methods of suicide and share information.

The communications watchdog will look at whether the site's service provider failed to put proper safety measures in place to protect its users from illegal content and activity.
