Nurses' strikes off as too few vote for action
Daily Express
|June 28, 2023
STRIKES by nurses in England will end after the profession's largest union failed to secure enough votes for further action.
The Royal College of Nursing had planned to stage more walkouts after its members rejected a pay offer from the Government last month.
A majority voted to continue with action but just over 43 per cent of members took part - below the 50 per cent required by union laws.
However, RCN boss Pat Cullen said the fight is "far from over".
