Szoboszlai energy hailed as Reds line up a charge

VIRGIL VAN DIJK saluted Dominik Szoboszlai for the “incredible” energy he brings to the team as the Liverpool captain challenged him to keep his levels high.

Hungary skipper Szoboszlai has become an integral figure for head coach Arne Slot and has been one of the standout performers at Anfield this term.

The No.8 again caught the eye as the Reds beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday - and it was his free-kick delivery which opened up the visitors for Alexis Mac Allister to head home the winner in the second half.

The versatile Szoboszlai has played in three roles already this season, filling in as a makeshift right-back while also operating in deeper and more advanced midfield positions.
