NHS faces more strikes after 91% of nurses reject pay offer

HOSPITALS could be facing more strikes this year after nurses demanded the Government increase its pay offer.
The Royal College of Nursing's members were offered a 3.6% pay increase for 2025-26, which was overwhelmingly rejected by 91% of respondents.
The union is warning it will ballot for a strike unless a bigger deal is offered by the end of the summer.
RCN general secretary Nicola Ranger warned that nurses are feeling "deeply undervalued", despite receiving two inflation-busting rises in a row.
