'My wheelchair is like my legs. It gives me my independence'

OUR Christmas appeal in aid of wheelchair charity Whizz Kidz gets a big thumbs-up from six-year-old “miracle” Isaac Akbar.

The youngster, who was born with spina bifida and is paralysed from the hips down, is thriving with the lightweight, stable wheelchair he was gifted two years ago.

Whizz Kids fitted him for the manual model after his mum struggled to carry the bulkier NHS-supplied chair up to their third-floor flat.
