Mum's fury as killer boyfriend sent to hospital

THE mother of a woman who was killed by her boyfriend says she feels betrayed by the justice system after he was given a hospital order.

Gogoa Lois Tape, 28, was detained under the Mental Health Act for strangling Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche, 25, in Hackney, east London, and driving her body around before confessing.

Tape was accused of murder but his guilty plea to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility was accepted.

Some of Ms Westcarr-Sabaroche’s loved ones walked out of Inner London Crown Court as he was sentenced when statements by Tape’s relatives described him as loving before his mental health failed.
