PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG could not stop MOZAMBIQUE claiming a first-ever victory in the Africa Cup of Nations at the 16th attempt.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker looked to have sparked a potential comeback for GABON with his goal in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time after Mozambique had scored twice.

But the Mambas, who had drawn five and lost 10 of their previous 15 matches in the competition, hit back seven minutes into the second half and held on for an historic 3-2 win.
