Emotional Harry’s court revelation

- EMILY FERGUSON

'Meghan's life was made a misery'

PRINCE Harry fought back tears as he gave evidence at the High Court yesterday, describing recounting the highly personal stories written about him as a “recurring traumatic experience”.

The Duke of Sussex is one of seven high-profile individuals bringing legal action against Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL), which publishes the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday, over allegations of unlawful information gathering.

He described his life as being “open season” to be commercialised and ended his testimony by saying: “They (ANL) continue to come after me.

“They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord.”

The duke’s voice broke and he appeared emotional as he delivered the final sentence.

Bowing to the judge and leaving the witness box, Harry continued to seem upset, sniffling as he exited.

Frosty

During his two hours on the stand yesterday, the King’s youngest son spoke repeatedly about being unable to complain about intrusive press coverage while he was a member of the Royal Family.

He also insisted none of his close friends would speak to the press.

Giving evidence, Harry appeared frustrated by lawyers acting on behalf of ANL, snapping: “My social circles were not leaky, I want to make that absolutely clear.”

Over-55s advised to cash in ahead of April's ISA deadline

Ider savers are being urged to spring into action as the annual Cash ISA deadline looms on April 5, as they are least likely to shop around for a better rate. As well as finding a best-buy rate for this year's contributions, they should also check they are getting a decent return on previous ISAs.
