Man, 55, who shot police officer with crossbow is jailed

A MAN who stabbed a neighbour and shot a police officer with a crossbow has been jailed.

Jason King had knifed Alistair Mahwuto during an altercation over a “longstanding” dispute in May 2024, a court heard.

Police were called to the scene in High Wycombe, Bucks, where King fired repeatedly at officers with a crossbow from an upstairs window before chasing them with the weapon and shooting one, the court was told.

King, 55, was in turn shot by police after refusing to put down the crossbow when confronted, the court heard.
