Macca gets back in the picture with artist

SIR Paul McCartney delighted fans by stopping his car on the way to a gig for an impromptu walkabout.

The Beatles legend pulled up to check out a Yellow Submarine street mural in Newcastle, Australia.

Macca, 81, chatted with locals before meeting artist Mitch Revs who painted the 160-sq metre mural in honour of the superstar's first concert in the city.

Excited Mitch was over the moon to meet his musical hero. He invited the rocker to add his own stamp to the mural - which he did by painting a smiley face and his initials.
