Lineker: I was kicked out over ‘rat’ post

GARY Lineker has confirmed he was sacked by the BBC after he was accused of sharing an antisemitic post.

It had been believed the football icon, 64, voluntarily stepped down from Match of the Day following the row after 26 years as host.

But when asked yesterday if he had quit or been fired, he said: “The latter.”
