Leeds get American dream for big time

LEEDS have already begun plans to ensure they thrive in the Premier League.

Chairman Paraag Marathe, president of Leeds owners the 49ers Enterprises, the venture capital arm of NFL side the San Francisco 49ers, has earmarked a massive cash injection for the club.

Marathe knows Leeds need to rebuild their squad for the Premier League, especially after selling over £125million worth of talent last summer, including Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville.

Leeds will spend at least £100m on players, and Kalvin Phillips could return from Manchester City, three years after he left for £42m.

Phillips is keen to return to Elland Road but, after unsuccessful loans at West Ham and Ipswich, Leeds must decide if he can recapture the form that made him an England regular at Euro 2020.
