Kemi’s vow to focus on using UK’s fossil fuels

TORY leader Kemi Badenoch has promised to extract all North Sea oil and gas to end the net zero drive and focus on using Britain’s fossil fuels.

She insisted it was “absurd” to leave the resources untapped.

The Government has committed to banning new exploration licences.

Mrs Badenoch will announce tomorrow that the Tories plan to completely overhaul the North Sea Transition Authority, which oversees the issuing of licences, dropping the word transition and giving it a simple order to extract the maximum possible amount of fossil fuels.
