'I've been through worst hell... but, with a little hope, you will come out alright the other side'

THE father of Elle Edwards — the beautician shot dead outside a pub on Christmas Eve — is spreading a message of hope in a new documentary.

Days after her tragic slaying, Tim Edwards got in touch with Liverpool actor and comedian John May, who was preparing to walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats as part of a campaign to end gun and knife crime.

At first Tim, 53, joined him at Worcester just to “get out of town”.

But in the end, he walked all the way to the top of Scotland, later travelling south to do the first leg.

And two years on, the resulting film, The Two of Us, will be screened at the Raindance Film Festival - which opens in London on Wednesday.
