Iraqi granted asylum due to tattoo 'honour killing' fears
Daily Express
|May 10, 2025
AN Iraqi asylum seeker has won the right to stay in Britain after claiming he could not go back to his home country — because of his dangerous tattoos.
The Kurd, who was granted anonymity, said he faced a violent reaction from his family as his skin art “deviated from the principles of Islam”.
He claimed he had to flee Iraq when his father and uncle tried to burn the tattoos off his skin.
