Gogglebox's Amy slams stigma of using drug jabs

SEARCHING her name online as a star of Gogglebox along with her family, Amy Tapper found people talking about her.

"It was either about how loud me and mum were or how big me and dad were," she recalls now.

"They would call us couch potatoes or say, 'can someone tell the girl from Gogglebox to get up and go for a walk'.

A yo-yo dieter, Amy, 25, who appeared on the reality show from the age of 13 to 18, would shift 3st and then give up. Then, last June, she discussed having bariatric surgery.

"After everything I had tried I was just so done after 20 years and I just wanted to have the surgery and wake up and just feel so much lighter," she says.

Told her genetics were making her overweight and with excellent blood results, her doctor recommended weight-loss medication.
