A 100-YEAR-OLD woman has revealed her Swiss elixir secret to a long life as she marked her milestone birthday.
Ruth Johnson celebrated by raising a glass of red wine surrounded by friends and family in her residential home in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
The Swiss-born centenarian has told the Express how a regular half glass of pinot noir from the vineyards on the shores of the Swiss lakes is her secret to reaching her impressive age.
Speaking from her Care UK’s Seccombe Court home, Ruth said: “Long life runs in the family. My grandfather was well over 90 when he passed, and my mother was 98!
“I don’t drink too much — just half a glass of red wine from the Swiss lakes on special occasions is enough for me.
