HORSERACING could be spared in the big Budget tax raid.
Horseracing is a crucial British industry
The Chancellor is expected to exempt it from a universal gambling tax hike, with plans to raise levies on slot machines in bookies and online gaming.
Around £1billion will be raised by the tax grab, less than the £3.2bn plan backed by former Labour PM Gordon Brown.
