SINCE her fairy-tale US Open win in September 2021, Emma Raducanu has been the golden child of British tennis.

All her struggles since have been explained and excused as she searched for form fitness.

and Even her 58-word press conference at the Madrid Masters last year was put into context when she pulled out of the tournament to have wrist operations and and ankle missed eight months.

But back in the Spanish capital this year, her worst effort of the season and her attitude was slammed by the usually supportive Sky Sports pundits.
