Got the hump on low bumps

LONG-AWAITED speed bumps have hit a problem — they are too low to slow down drivers. Residents on Mousehold Avenue in Norwich called the traffic-calming humps a “waste of money” after campaigning for years to get them.

Some motorists speed along the 20mph stretch of road and locals fear for children who walk that way to school.

Ruta Ramaske, 47, said: “It’s been a waste of money because it has not done anything. I wanted them put in but they do not seem to have slowed drivers down.”
