Gaza's day of 100 deaths from bombs and starvation

ISRAEL was accused of bombarding residential suburbs of Gaza City amid claims up to 100 people have been killed on the Strip in 24 hours.

The victims were said to have included 31 queuing for food.

Five others died from starvation or malnutrition — including two children - as the UK Government joined 26 governments and EU agencies in demanding Israel allows aid to flood into Gaza.

The enclave - already largely reduced to rubble - faced a third day of intense attack after Israel's war cabinet voted to occupy its capital.
